Building a strong infrastructure for internet services is important for the growth of global economies and technological ecosystems. This research looks at the current state of internet service infrastructure in great detail, focusing on how the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the Internet of Things (IoT) fit together. We explored various reviewed articles from databases like PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science that were published between 2018 and 2023 to find the most important trends, challenges, and effects on future growth. The study employs a combination of qualitative analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data, as well as meta-analysis when it makes sense, to collect and put together useful data. Our review had strict rules about which studies could be included: they had to directly look at building up infrastructure, making rules, improving technology, and market processes related to internet services. Peer-reviewed studies with real-world data and English-language publications were the only ones that were included. Studies that did not provide empirical data, were not peer-reviewed, did not answer the main research questions, were not published in English, or were found to be duplicates through screening were not included. With these criteria in consideration, 92 references were finally added to the review. Half of the articles we reviewed ranked regulatory frameworks as the factor most influencing infrastructural development. Additionally crucial are market shifts (30%) and technological developments 40%. To round out the picture of present problems and trends, 20% of the articles discuss the significance of combining SDG and IoT approaches. According to the research, comprehensive regulatory policies can foster an environment that is conducive to investment and innovation. If we want to see improvements in infrastructure and service delivery, we need to see new technologies like 5G, fiber-optic networks, and AI. The expansion and operation of internet service infrastructure is also impacted by market dynamics like consumer behavior, investment flows, and competition. A well-rounded strategy that considers regulatory frameworks, technological advances, and market dynamics is necessary to attain long-term growth, according to the results. Researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders can use these findings to develop strategies for future-proofing the internet service infrastructure.
